The project workspace: collaborate and manage your work

Last updated: April 2026

When a client accepts a creative’s quote, the project moves to the “In Progress” status and the workspace is activated—the shared workspace where the client and creative collaborate until final delivery. Everything that happens in the project is recorded here.

How do I access it? In the left-hand sidebar, under the "Projects" section, you'll see a list of all your active projects. Click on the project name to enter the workspace.

The 6 tabs in the workspace

The workspace is organized into six tabs. Each one serves a specific purpose within the project.

Messages

The project chat. Here you can communicate in real time, share ideas, and ask questions throughout the collaboration.

Files

Shared repository for all project files: references, sketches, and final deliverables.

Users

List of project participants: the project creator (client) and the collaborator (creative).

Summary

Overview with the agreed-upon details: project description, terms of service, and budget terms.

Receipts

Record of all payments made for the project: initial payment and final payment, including date, amount, and status.

Activity

Chronological timeline of project events: start date, status changes, and key milestones.

Messages: the project's communication channel

The Messages tab is the project's internal chat. It is the recommended space for all work-related communication: progress updates, changes in direction, reviews, and agreements.

  • You can send text messages and include emojis.
  • You can also attach files directly from the chat using the paperclip icon—these files will also be available in the Files tab.
  • All messages are saved and remain visible to both parties for the duration of the project.
Tip — Use the project chat instead of external channels (WhatsApp, email, etc.) to keep the entire collaboration history in one place. This way, you’ll have a record of all agreements and changes in case any discrepancies arise.

Files: the shared repository

The Files tab centralizes all project documents, audio files, and deliverables. The files are organized into three categories to make them easier to find:

References

Songs, audio files, or documents that the client shares as inspiration or guidance for the creative.

Sketches

Working versions or demos in progress that the designer shares to get feedback before the final delivery.

Finals

The final approved files, ready for the client to download and use.

Either participant can upload files by clicking " Upload File." When uploading, you must specify which category the file belongs to (Reference, Sketch, or Final). You can also filter files by category or view only your own files using the "My Files" and "User Files" filters.

About storage — The total file size of the project is displayed in the upper-right corner of the tab. Keep this in mind if the project involves large audio files.

Users: project participants

The Users tab shows who is involved in the project and what role each person has:

Project creator

The client who posted the project and initiated the collaboration. This is the person who makes payments and has the ability to close the project.

Contributor

The music producer hired for the project. This is the person who delivers the work and receives payment according to the agreed-upon terms.

Receipts: Payment Records

The "Receipts" tab displays a complete history of all transactions made for the project. For each payment, you will see:

  • Title — the name of the project associated with the payment.
  • Description — indicates whether it is the Initial Payment or the Final Payment.
  • Date — when the transaction took place.
  • Amount — the amount in euros.
  • Status — whether the payment was successful or pending.

You can download a receipt for each payment by clicking the download icon at the end of each row.

Remember— The initial payment is made when the client accepts the quote. The final payment is made when both parties consider the project complete and the client confirms delivery.

How to Complete a Project

Once the designer has submitted the work and both parties are satisfied with the result, the client can click the " Finish Project " button located in the upper-right corner of the workspace.

  • Once the project is completed, the final payment is released to the designer.
  • The project status changes from In Progress to Completed.
  • Both parties may leave a review of their collaboration experience.
Important — Do not finalize the project until you are completely satisfied with the work delivered. Once the project is finalized and the final payment has been released, the transaction cannot be reversed. If there are any corrections needed, please let the designer know via chat before clicking “Finalize Project.”

Frequently asked questions

Can I view the workspace for a project that has already been completed?

Yes. Completed projects remain accessible from the "Projects" section in the side menu. You can view the history of messages, files, and receipts at any time.

Who can upload files to the workspace?

Both the client (project creator) and the creative (contributor) can upload files at any time during the project.

What happens if the designer submits the work but I'm not satisfied?

Don't finalize the project until you're satisfied. Use the chat feature to let the designer know what needs to be corrected or adjusted. The terms for revisions should have been agreed upon before the project began.

Can I download the final files after the project is closed?

Yes. The files in the workspace remain accessible even after the project is completed. You can download them from the Files tab whenever you need to.

How do I know if the creator has received my initial payment?

You can check this in the Receipts tab. If the payment status shows as "Successful," the creator has received it successfully.

Can I add more people to the project?

The project workspace is designed to facilitate collaboration between the client and the hired creative. If you need to add more collaborators, please contact our support team to explore your options.
