How to Add Your Pitch and Credits

Last updated: April 2026

The Pitch and Credits sections are two of the most important parts of your profile. They’re the first things a client reads when they want to know who you are and who you’ve worked with. Filling them out well can make the difference between getting a proposal or having the client move on.

Where do they appear? Your Pitch and Credits are displayed on your public profile, in the "About Me" section. They are visible to any client who visits your page before sending you a proposal.

What Is a Pitch?

Your Pitch is your one-sentence introduction. It’s the text that appears prominently on your profile and summarizes who you are, what you do, and what sets you apart from other creatives. Think of it as your musical “elevator pitch”: you have just a few seconds to grab the client’s attention.

A good pitch directly answers these three questions:

  • What kind of creative are you?
  • What do you specialize in, or what is your niche?
  • What value do you provide to the customer?
Examples
Avoid saying, “I’m a music producer who does it all and has a lot of experience in the industry.”
"Top Pop and R&B producer with over 10 years of experience working with independent artists. Specializes in modern sounds optimized for digital platforms."
More examples
" I mix and master songs. I have my own studio."
Best “Mixing engineer specializing in urban genres. Delivery within 48 hours with unlimited revisions. Over 200 songs released on Spotify and Apple Music.”

What Are Credits?

The "Credits" section is where you list the artists, labels, studios, or notable projects you've worked with. It serves as a summary of your musical resume: it tells clients who you've collaborated with and what level you operate at professionally.

What can you include?

Names of artists, bands, record labels, recording studios, agencies, or audiovisual projects in which you have participated.

Which format should I use?

Separate the credits with commas. Example: “Warner Studios, Sony Studios, Artist A, Artist B.” Maximum 50 characters.

Examples of well-written credits
" I've worked with many well-known artists and major labels in the industry."
Best: "Warner Studios, Sony Music, Rosalía, C. Tangana, Universal Music"
Important — Include only real, verifiable credits. Adding the names of artists or labels you haven’t worked with can damage your reputation and violate Promakers’ guidelines.

How to add them step by step

  1. Go to your profile by clicking your avatar or name in the upper-right corner and select My Profile.
  2. Click the pencil icon on the right side of your profile, next to your name and title.
  3. The "Edit Profile" panel will open. Select Profile Details.
  4. You'll find the " Pitch " field—write your pitch in a clear and direct sentence.
  5. Below you will see the " Credits " field—enter the names separated by commas (max. 50 characters).
  6. Click SAVE to publish the changes to your profile.
Remember— On the same screen, you can also update your first name, last name, professional title, and location. Take this opportunity to make sure all fields are complete and up to date.

Tips for Standing Out

Be specific in your pitch

Avoid generic phrases like “music lover.” Mention your genre, your creative process, or your unique value proposition.

Prioritize in Loans

With only 50 characters, start with the names that are most recognizable or relevant to your target audience.

Update them regularly

Every new project is an opportunity to enhance your profile. Review your pitch and your credits every few months.

Speak the customer's language

Use terms that the client will recognize. “Mix for Spotify” conveys more than “multi-channel dynamic processing.”

Consejo final — Lee tu Pitch en voz alta. Si suena natural y explica claramente lo que haces en menos de 10 segundos, está bien escrito. Si tienes que releerlo para entenderlo, simplifícalo.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a character limit for the pitch?

The "Pitch" field does not have a visible character limit, but we recommend keeping it to 1–3 concise sentences. Very long texts lose their impact, and customers won't read them all the way through.

Are the credits verified by Promakers?

Promakers does not automatically verify credits, but reserves the right to review and remove any information that is misleading or false. Please add only valid credits.

Can I edit the Pitch and Credits at any time?

Yes. You can update them at any time from the "Edit Profile → Profile Details" section. The changes will appear immediately on your public profile.

What happens if I don't fill in these fields?

Your profile will still be visible, but you'll miss out on a key opportunity to stand out. Clients who visit your profile without finding a clear pitch have less information to help them decide whether to contact you.
